Half Day*: $100 per week non-members ($95 Members)
Full Day*: $180 per week for non-members ($170 Members)
* Half Day sessions include one brief supervised break; Full Day sessions include two brief supervised breaks and a supervised one-hour lunch break. Morning & afternoon snacks provided.

Since the Art Center is NOT a day-care center, NO tax ID for such deductions can be provided.

Art Camp Class Descriptions -Alphabetical by Teacher

Brink – Draw, Paint, Print – Using methods described in “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” and other innovative approaches to draw and paint from pictures, from life and from the imagination.

Brink – Playing with Mud Part 1 – This is a 2-part class – you must register for both Part 1 and Part 2 in order to take the class. There will be a one week break between sessions to allow the clay to dry and be fired. This class is about hand building in clay. We will make fantastical garden  creatures, a bird house and animal bank and more. (limit 10 students)

Brink – Playing with Mud Part 2 – You must have registered in Part 1 to take Part 2. You will glaze and fire the pieces created in Part 1. We will also do a few addition non-fire clay projects, if time allows (limit 10 students)

Brink – Build It – Creating with Wood and Other Materials – Create fabulous and fanciful structures and sculptures using wood and other materials. Stretch your imagination and your engineering skills – just build it!

Brink – Papercraft– Learn papermaking, paper marbleizing, paper folding, decoupage and other paper craft – from pulp paper hats – have fun with paper!

Brink – Metal Madness – Learn metal – stamping, metal embossing, wire creations and more! Work with tools, have fun, make fun projects. (limit 10 students)

Fiskus – Drawing from the Animal World – Understand the different shapes and forms of the animal kingdom and how to draw them using a variety of media both wet and dry.

Fiskus – Tie Dye – Create beautiful colored fabrics. Learn different folding and tying techniques. Complete four to five paper projects and two to three cloth projects.

Fiskus- Watercolor – Students will learn to color mixing and develop their skill with the brush. Focus on composition, shape, texture and line. We will explore different subjects.

Fiskus – Drawing from Nature – Understand the organic shapes found in the natural world and learn to draw them using both wet and dry media. Including some experimental techniques.

Fiskus – Fine Art Printmaking – Students will develop personal expression and learn carving and printmaking techniques using soft linoleum blocks and styrofoam blocks. We will learn about shape, line, texture and composition.

Hahn – Colored Clay, Glazes, Fabric, Print – This course will offer a wide variety of activities.

Intrator – For the Love of Rabbits  - Students will make and paint a papier mache jackalope, create a sock stuffed bunny with clothes, learn counter cross stitch with Peter Rabbit Design and construct a welcome sign with craft foam using a rabbit design.

Intrator – Multi-Cultural Art Students will explore art in various media from different cultures from around the world.

LaVie – Outdoor Landscape Sketching – The class will help young artists to the fundamentals of sketching outdoors. Students will work with pencils, charcoal, graphite and conte crayon. Will go outdoors and draw from the landscape around the Art Center.

LaVie – Art Safari in Mixed Media – In this class young artists are in search of birds and animals in order to discover ideas for creative projects in mixed media. Watercolor, pastels and colored pencils will be the media used.

Moss – Beading – Learn how to bead. This class is excellent for both boys and girls.

Moss – Creative Constructions – We will build and create objects with a variety of materials: boxes, sculpture, life forms, etc.

Yarrington – Beginning Watercolor – Learn to paint in watercolor.

YarringtonAdvanced Watercolor – Students must have some experience working in watercolor already by taking the Beginning Watercolor class or have done watercolor somewhere else.

ZeigerModern Fossils – Make impressions of natural and manufactured objects in clay, cast them in plaster and color them to look ancient. You can wear them, hang them up or keep them on a shelf or table.

ZeigerEgyptian and Mayan Amulets – View and discuss photographic slides of Egyptian and Mayan art, then learn to make your own amulets using plastilene clay as a mold, casting in plaster and coloring it to look ancient. Wear them, hang them up or sue them as paperweights.

ZeigerBuilding Buildings – Learn about architecture from the different cultures, past and present by viewing and discussing photographic slides of buildings and then constructing your own buildings with clay using what you’ve learned.

ZeigerAbstract Geometric Constructions – Explore 3-dimensional geometry and play with concepts of balance, transformation, expansion and acceleration using craft sticks and glue.

Zeiger Discovering Animals – Explore the animal kingdoms and animal anatomy using your imagination with re-cycled materials.

ZeigerGreat Architecture of the World – Learn about architectural styles and construction methods from many cultures past and present. Use your imagination to create your own versions with recycled materials.


Registration
Since the Art Center at Fuller Lodge is NOT a day-care center, no tax ID for such deductions is provided. This summer Art camp for children and youths is intended to be an art experience for those who have completed one through three and grades four through six.

Cancellations
Cancellations made one full week in advance of the first day of the session will be honored with a refund less a $10 cancellation fee. No refunds will be made after that time.
Medical Release
Every child must have completed, signed medical release form on file at the Art Center prior to the first class session. The medical release form is available at registration.
Lunchtime and Snacks
Children enrolled in full day sessions need to bring a sack lunch with them. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. All children should bring their own water bottle, marked with their name. Children may not leave lunch unless accompanied by a parent; they must remain at the Art Center under the supervision of the intern, a teacher or an Art Center employee.
Drop-off and Pickup
Children will be dropped off at the School no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the start of the session, and picked up no later than 15 minutes after the close of the session. The School is not a day care facility. No one is available to watch the children either prior to or after the art camp sessions.
Behavior
The Art Center at Fuller Lodge expects children to be well behaved and to obey instructors and interns. Respect is required and bullying or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Parents will be sent a written notification of the child's misbehavior after the first offense, and the child will be dismissed from art camp if there is a second offense. No refunds will be issued. Note that climbing walls and trees are grounds for misbehavior notifications.
Clothing
Children will need to dress in clothing that can get dirty. Children will have exercise time outside on a daily basis, so please be sure they have appropriate clothing. Please, no flip-flops -- children take them off to go barefoot and they have been bee stings. If your child needs sunscreen, please send a personal tube or bottle.
